About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatics Supervisor to join our team at Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS). As a key member of our leisure services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of aquatic programs and services, ensuring the safety and well-being of our military members and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and administer all activities at the swimming pool, providing quality swimming programs and services.
  • Train staff, suggest new programs, and problem-solve to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Mentor staff to develop into strong lifeguards, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Perform lifeguard duties and teach swimming lessons, staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and best practices.
Requirements
  • College diploma or certificate in Physical Sciences or a related field, with several years of experience in aquatics or a related field.
  • Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification, as well as National Lifeguard Service (NLS) and recognized Swim Instructor certification.
  • High FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or HIGH FIVE Sport certification, with successful completion by the end of probation.
  • Experience in evaluating, planning, preparing, organizing, and conducting the delivery of aquatic programs, instructing training sessions, and supervising the work of volunteers.
Competencies
  • Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork, and leadership.
Language Requirements

English is essential, with bilingualism (English and French) an asset.
