Position Overview:

The Financial Reporting Manager will report directly to the Corporate Controller and will be tasked with the creation of the Company's financial statements and associated regulatory submissions. This role emphasizes the use of technology to enhance operational efficiencies within our organization. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements along with Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) in accordance with IFRS standards;
  2. Review and prepare monthly working papers, supporting documentation, and technical accounting memos;
  3. Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of all month-end closing processes;
  4. Oversee transactions and account balances within the ERP system, Pronto Xi;
  5. Provide training and review the work of junior staff members;
  6. Enhance formal processes for internal controls to ensure compliance with NI and SOX regulations;
  7. Act as the primary contact between the auditors and Skeena;
  8. Stay updated on regulatory changes and their implications for financial reporting;
  9. Perform additional duties as required by the organization.

Qualifications:

  1. Must possess a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation with 3-5 years of experience in a public accounting environment;
  2. Experience with the Pronto Xi ERP system is a significant advantage;
  3. Previous experience in the mining sector is beneficial but not mandatory;
  4. Proficient in utilizing technology to enhance efficiencies and improve the financial reporting process;
  5. Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team;
  6. Skilled in developing relationships and providing guidance to junior team members;
  7. Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure;
  8. Self-driven with the ability to work with minimal oversight;
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  10. Uphold high standards of ethical conduct in business and personal dealings;
  11. Meticulous attention to detail.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position, operating on a Monday to Friday schedule, primarily from the Vancouver corporate office, with some flexibility for remote work. Priority consideration will be given to Indigenous members of Nations where Skeena's projects are located. All applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
