Position Overview: We are currently in search of a Memory Care Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate support to residents experiencing dementia and cognitive challenges.
- Ensure residents receive personalized care and engaging programs while maintaining a safe environment for residents, families, and staff.
- Lead and mentor the Memory Care team to foster meaningful interactions with residents.
- Assist in the assessment and orientation of new residents, ensuring a smooth transition to their new home.
- Oversee scheduling, payroll, budgeting, and staff allocation within the Memory Care department.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training of care staff, empowering them to reach their full potential.
- Promote a healthy lifestyle for residents by embracing individuality and ensuring person-centered care.
- Adhere to risk management protocols through regular audits and inspections.
Qualifications:
- Mandatory Covid-19 vaccination.
- Current Safe Food Handler's Certification.
- Progressive supervisory experience with effective management techniques for addressing complex behaviors related to dementia care.
- Strong leadership skills to promote exceptional care for Memory Care residents and mentor the Memory Care team.
- Ability to design meaningful programs and activities for Memory Care residents.
- Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma in dementia care, gerontology, kinesiology, or rehabilitation from a recognized institution, or equivalent professional experience.
- Valid Class G driver's license with a clear driving record.
