Job Summary
The Licensed Optician - Retail is a key member of the EssilorLuxottica team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales in our luxury retail stores. As a Licensed Optician, you will be the expert in all things eyewear, guiding customers in selecting the perfect frames and lenses to meet their needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience for every customer.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences to drive sales and loyalty.
- Expertly guide customers in selecting frames and lenses, taking into account their lifestyle, wardrobe, RX, and price needs.
- Ensure flawless accuracy in taking and recording measurements, adjusting and fitting eyewear, and executing all details.
- Stay current on product knowledge and fashion trends to drive sales and stay ahead of the competition.
- Maintain presentation standards on the sales floor and back office, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Manage inventory controls, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Support the Store Manager in ensuring all optical quality controls are in compliance.
- Train and mentor Managers and Associates, sharing knowledge and best practices to drive success.
- Support the set-up and execution of all events, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for customers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- State licensure or certification by a nationally-recognized opticianary association as an optician
- 2+ years sales experience in the luxury service industry
- Knowledge of current optical theory and practices
- Natural ability in building a client following
