As a Sound Design Specialist at Electronic Arts, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing audio elements that enhance the gaming experience. Your expertise will contribute to the overall sound landscape of our projects, ensuring that audio quality meets our high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow audio leadership and protocols for the design, collection, editing, and integration of sound assets.
- Deliver finalized audio files within established timelines.
- Organize and manage audio assets through systematic editing and naming conventions.
- Create engaging and immersive audio experiences for players.
- Collaborate in gathering content for both creative and technical design needs.
- Edit and implement audio assets directly within our game development engine.
- Promote audio pipeline features and enhance workflow processes.
- Document audio systems for the development team to ensure clarity and efficiency.
- Oversee post-production audio for in-game video materials.
- Ensure that audio quality aligns with project specifications.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in audio or game development.
- Proficient in utilizing game development tools and technologies.
- Experience with contemporary audio creation tools and software.
- Familiarity with visual programming languages related to audio.
- Understanding of scripting or programming for automation processes.
- Strong knowledge of PC hardware and software environments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with sound effects creation workflows.
- Knowledge of surround sound techniques.
- Familiarity with version control systems and bug/task tracking applications.
- Experience with relational database management.
