Position: HVAC/R Technician Trainee

Company: Ainsworth (a GDI company)

Position Overview:

As an HVAC/R Technician Trainee, you will support the assembly, installation, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems under the supervision of an experienced Refrigeration Journeyman.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and create technical drawings and specifications.
  • Assist in the installation of HVAC/R systems and their components.
  • Support the servicing and refurbishment of HVAC/R units.
  • Help in the repair and replacement of worn-out parts.
  • Install various components such as motors and thermostats.
  • Comply with company policies and operational procedures.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed safely and in accordance with regulations.
  • Adhere to the Company's Quality System protocols.
  • Carry out any additional tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled in an HVAC/R Apprenticeship Program.
  • Familiarity with plumbing tools and practices.
  • Possession of a valid Gas license.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
