Position Overview
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, family-centered care in a culturally sensitive environment. Your primary focus will be on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, educate, prevent, maintain, and restore patient health.

- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients and families, particularly those undergoing genetic terminations.
- Foster strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and families, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Adhere to health and safety policies to maintain a secure environment for all stakeholders.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance your nursing skills and knowledge.
Essential Qualities of a Great Registered Nurse

Qualifications
- Diploma in Nursing or a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification (to be obtained within 3 months of employment).
- STABLE certification (to be obtained within 6 months of hire).
- Experience in neonatal nursing within a community setting is preferred.
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.

Working at NYGH means being part of a dynamic team of healthcare professionals in one of Canada's leading hospitals. This position is part-time and permanent, with 12-hour shifts available in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We provide a competitive compensation package, including pay in lieu of benefits and vacation pay, along with the opportunity to participate in the Hospital Pension Plan.
