Job Title: Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Dallas Watt Demo Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects. This will involve analyzing tender documents, estimating costs, and creating reports and bids.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects
  • Analyze tender documents and estimate costs
  • Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids
  • Advise on tendering procedures and analyze tenders
  • Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems
  • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
  • Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in construction estimating an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze data
  • Ability to work in a team environment
