Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at North Oriental Construction Ltd. as a permanent employee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare and reconcile financial statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, including GST/HST and other relevant taxes.
  • Payroll Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, including deductions and benefits.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: College diploma or equivalent in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Proficient in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Office environment with occasional travel to construction sites.
  • Work Schedule: 30-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
