Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at North Oriental Construction Ltd. as a permanent employee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare and reconcile financial statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
  • Payroll and Taxation: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, prepare tax returns, and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all financial transactions and records are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and identify and mitigate potential risks.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a related field, such as accounting or finance.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Office environment with regular working hours.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit for long periods, perform data entry tasks, and lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Criminal Record Check: Must be willing to undergo a criminal record check.
