Job Title: Registered Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Dr. Jimmy W. Chan Inc. as a key member of our dental care team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting initial dental assessments, consulting with dentists on patient care, and supervising dental assistants in their health care functions. They will also instruct patients on oral hygiene, clean and stimulate gums to prevent gum disease, and administer local anesthetics.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial dental assessments and consult with dentists on patient care
  • Supervise dental assistants in their health care functions
  • Instruct patients on oral hygiene and provide education on proper oral care
  • Clean and stimulate gums to prevent gum disease
  • Administer local anesthetics as needed
  • Take, develop, and mount X-rays
  • Diagnose type and severity of diseases
Requirements:
  • Dental Hygienists Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as a team player
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a dental practice setting, with a typical workweek of 8-16 hours per week. Free parking is available on site.
