Principal Scientist

AbCellera is seeking a highly motivated Principal Scientist to lead our Antibody Drug Conjugate (ADC) therapeutic discovery programs. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to provide strategic direction, design and optimize cutting-edge ADC therapeutic candidates, and drive innovation in conjugate science and ADC therapeutic discovery.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership in the design, optimization, and development of ADC therapeutic candidates
- Develop and implement conjugation methods and platforms
- Lead and inspire a team of scientists to execute high-impact ADC research
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand ADC challenges and propose solutions
- Drive innovation by exploring and implementing emerging technologies in conjugate science and ADC therapeutic discovery
- PhD in Biochemistry, Biological Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related field, plus 10+ years of industry experience
- Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques used to generate and evaluate ADCs
- Comprehensive knowledge of modern antibody linker technologies and working knowledge of antibody structure and function
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public presentation of complex data
AbCellera offers a competitive salary range of $141,100-177,000CAD annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution. You will also have a $1,500 annual Active Lifestyle Allowance, annual vacation, professional development opportunities, and comprehensive health benefits.
