Job Overview

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a Project Coordinator in the People and Culture sector.

This role involves joining the Strategy Deployment team focused on enhancing organizational culture and effectiveness.

Responsibilities of the Project Coordinator, People and Culture include:

Deliver analytical support in the financial and technical assessment, review, and upkeep of project documentation, management tools, and executive summaries for specific VCH initiatives, facilitating effective risk management. Conduct analysis and document the projects initiated by the organization to validate that both organizational and departmental goals are achieved. Foster supportive relationships among various internal and external stakeholders to ensure collaboration and mutual benefit. Collaborate with the project team and end-user departments on both capital and operational initiatives. Collect data and assess interdependencies and associated risks to the respective projects and the organization through engagement with external consultants and other health authorities.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration or a related field pertinent to the specific projects. At least three (3) years of recent, relevant experience in financial analysis and planning within a large, complex service organization, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Demonstrated experience in three key areas: financial analysis, project planning/management, and technical expertise related to the specific projects.

Knowledge & Skills

In-depth technical knowledge, project/process management capabilities, financial analytical skills, and business insight. Proficiently addresses stakeholder needs while being acutely aware of the implications of decisions and actions on the organization and its stakeholders. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with facilitation abilities to effectively collaborate in a team environment with diverse stakeholders. Capacity to identify challenges and develop analytical solutions to resolve issues. Proven proficiency in advanced word processing, graphic presentation, and spreadsheet applications for report and presentation preparation. Results-driven in a high-pressure work environment with multiple critical deadlines. Physical capability to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
