Position Overview:
As a key member of the Procurement Management team, you will report to the Senior Manager, Procurement. Your role as a procurement expert involves managing intricate procurement initiatives, strategies, and projects across a diverse array of products and services. You will provide guidance and support to stakeholders throughout all phases of the procurement lifecycle, ensuring compliance and optimal value for the institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee procurement activities, including tenders and strategic projects, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards.
- Assess client requirements, identify potential suppliers, and determine the most suitable procurement approach.
- Ensure the integrity of the evaluation process by guiding committee members and maintaining thorough documentation.
- Advise various departments on procurement processes and strategies.
- Authorize contract awards and collaborate with legal teams to interpret agreements.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in procurement.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Certification in supply chain management from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of seven years of experience in procurement, with at least two years handling complex procurement challenges.
- Strong negotiation skills developed through extensive experience.
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
- Collaborative mindset with proven leadership capabilities.
- Knowledge of procurement laws and standards applicable to public institutions.
- Proficiency in financial systems and public tendering platforms.
- Bilingual in English and French.
