Bombardier's Biggin Hill Service Centre is a leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for business aircraft. As a Level 2 Non-Destructive Testing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use the Bombardier Integrated Quality Management System to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of technical procedures for non-destructive testing.
  • Collaborate with senior technicians to ensure the effective implementation of quality management systems.
  • Perform non-destructive testing on a variety of aircraft components, including landing gear, flap tracks, and carriages.
  • Maintain accurate records of testing and inspection activities.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians.
  • Interface with production departments to ensure seamless integration of testing and inspection activities.
  • Attend meetings and contribute to the development of quality management systems.
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Eddy Current L2 certification (as required)
  • Magnetic Particle Inspection L2 certification (as required)
  • Liquid (Dye) Penetrant L2 certification (as required)
  • Ultrasonic Testing L2 certification (as required)
  • Ability to travel and support Bombardier internationally
  • Good IT user knowledge (e.g. SAP or similar business software, Microsoft Office Excel)
  • Basic knowledge of EASA/CAA/FAA requirements and other applicable aviation regulations
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety working practices
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal)
  • Education to at least GCSE level or equivalent
  • Good communicator and team player
  • Good planning, organization, and administration skills
  • Able to maintain performance under pressure
  • Ability to make decisions
