Job Summary

Matrox is currently seeking a skilled professional to join its Video Division as a Hardware Technician. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about hardware design, enjoys working in a team, and wants to deliver high-quality products to our customers.


Key Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with the development and validation of prototypes, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards.

• Manage and maintain lab test stations, including configuration, reboot, and connectivity.

• Conduct signal quality measurements and verify product performance.

• Perform thermal, environmental, and vibration tests to ensure product reliability.

• Research and validate second sources for components and materials.

• Write detailed test and validation reports to document findings and recommendations.

• Prepare systems for electromagnetic certification and resolve any issues encountered.

• Develop software and hardware tools to validate products and improve testing efficiency.

• Provide production support and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product delivery.


Requirements

• A degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or computer systems technology.

• In-depth knowledge of electronic design, including high-speed digital circuits and analog circuits.

• Advanced debugging skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.

• Proficiency with laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and specialized tools.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
