Job Summary:

TOTEM Recruteur de talent is seeking a skilled Mechanic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintenance of school buses;
  • Conducting road tests;
  • Completing mechanical maintenance reports and work orders;
  • Performing repairs for painting and finishing;
  • Monitoring and maintaining the preventive maintenance program (PEP);
  • Preparing lists of required parts for repairs and maintaining inventory;
  • Following up on warranties;
  • Issuing parts removal slips on work orders;
  • Organizing the workshop (equipment, inventory);
  • Searching for technical documentation;
  • Cleaning work areas and washing;
  • Installing radio, camera, and GPS equipment on a new vehicle;
  • Identifying mechanical problems;
  • Any other related tasks;

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent experience;
  • Knowledge of diesel mechanics;
  • Familiarity with Cummins and Allison software (an asset);
  • Possession of a PEP card (an asset);
  • Knowledge of hydraulic brakes;
