Position Summary

As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will take charge of planning, managing, and executing all essential clinical education for healthcare professionals across various units, including Nursing, Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Health Records, and Rehabilitation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive clinical education needs assessments.
  • Designing and implementing educational programs for all employees at Stanton Territorial Hospital (STH).
  • Delivering training to Aurora College nursing students and staff from other health authorities.
  • Facilitating over 30 mandatory certification courses for STH employees, scheduled multiple times throughout the year to accommodate diverse work shifts.
  • Performing bedside patient care procedures while demonstrating skills or verifying equipment placement.
  • Setting up and relocating educational equipment in classrooms and off-site venues.
  • Leading groups with varied experience levels and backgrounds, adapting to the unique learning needs of each participant.
  • Writing and revising educational materials and reports, while maintaining multiple instructor certifications for nationally recognized programs.
  • Promoting evidence-based practices and enhancing clinical competencies among staff.

Typically, the qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, additional training in adult learning methodologies, and a minimum of five years of experience in acute care nursing.
