- Maintain stock levels of medical and surgical supplies, ensuring adequate inventory for patient care.
- Transport patients safely and efficiently, adhering to hospital protocols.
- Perform other related duties as required, contributing to the smooth operation of our dialysis services.
- Diploma with some post-secondary healthcare training is required.
- Renal Assistant Certificate is an asset.
- Previous dialysis experience is essential.
- Healthcare experience is required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude is necessary for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with computer applications is essential for accurate data entry and record-keeping.
- Knowledge of sterile/aseptic techniques is crucial for maintaining a safe patient environment.
- Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Technically oriented, with the ability to learn and adapt to new equipment and procedures.
- Ability to perform some heavy lifting is required, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record is essential for this role.
The ideal candidate will possess strong patient-centered care skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment. They will be a team player, with excellent communication skills and a clear patient focus. The successful candidate will be able to manage execution, foster teamwork and cooperation, and drive change and innovation in our dialysis services.
Working ConditionsThis role requires working Monday to Saturday, with various rotating shifts, including days and evenings. The successful candidate will be required to work 8 and 12 hour shifts, with flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs.
