Role Summary

What is the opportunity?

The Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a dedicated Team Operations Manager to oversee the daily functions of a prominent advisor team. This position offers a unique chance to engage in a dynamic environment within one of the leading branches, providing ample opportunities for professional growth and development.


The Team Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in guiding the advisor team by delivering management and employee relations support to both Advisors and Support Staff.


This position encompasses responsibilities in Management and Human Resources, along with additional business-related duties. It requires adept prioritization of tasks, the ability to thrive under the pressure of daily deadlines, and exceptional organizational skills while managing frequent interruptions. The Team Operations Manager collaborates closely with Advisors and Branch Management, reporting directly to the Branch Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee business and team management in collaboration with the Advisor
  • Address operational and human resources requirements of the team
  • Facilitate all team operations while promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Support the Advisor in all facets of team HR management, including training initiatives
  • Coordinate Client Experience Management and Service Plans for the team
  • Manage the onboarding process for high-value clients, acting as a liaison among clients, advisors, and the operations team
  • Direct Information and Technology Strategy and implementation for the team
  • Review and ensure consistent execution of essential team processes

Essential Qualifications

  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with a capacity to multitask and a keen attention to detail
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of managing diverse personalities with a mature and positive attitude
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a full-service brokerage environment in a similar role within professional services, finance, or wealth management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Excel and Outlook Mail/Calendar
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
