About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team at Bombardier Aerospace Canada. As a Technical Writer, you will play a critical role in creating high-quality technical documentation for our aircraft maintenance and repair operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research, plan, write, and quality-check technical data for Illustrated Parts Catalogs and Illustrated Parts Data Publications.
  • Identify and implement process and product improvements aligned with our strategic plan.
  • Plan, perform, and document procedural validations according to departmental standards and guidelines.
  • Analyze and respond to customer and operator requests and issues.
  • Coordinate and define publications book plans.
  • Define standards and requirements for creation and distribution of documentation in electronic formats.
  • Minimize risks to completion of publications by identifying, evaluating, and defining action plans and schedules.
Requirements
  • A college diploma in aerospace or a related field, or a minimum of three years of relevant experience in Technical Publications.
  • Background in aircraft maintenance, IPC/IPDP, or Parts Logistics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP).
  • Detailed understanding of Technical Publications processes and technologies.
  • Basic understanding of S1000D and ATA specifications.
  • Good knowledge of HTML, SGML, and XML authoring languages.
  • Experience in defining a troubleshooting methodology in a high-technology environment.
  • Good understanding of design procedures and Bombardier Aerospace Engineering System.
  • Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken).
