Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at Universal Collision Center Inc. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the repair process by accurately assessing the extent of damage to vehicles and providing detailed repair estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and Assess: Inspect automobile body damage to identify the exact extent of all damage, ensuring accurate and detailed assessments.
  • Estimate and Approve: Review estimates with insurance adjusters to gain repair and replacement approval, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Document and Manage: Document approved repair and replacement services required by creating work orders in our work management software, maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with repair technicians to discuss repair plans, clarify any technical aspects, and ensure accurate estimates, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Stay updated on industry standards, repair techniques, and advancements in automotive technology to make informed assessments, ensuring our team remains at the forefront of the industry.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a Body Shop environment, with a strong understanding of automotive repair and estimation.
  • License and Certification: Unrestricted driver's license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmissions.
  • Skills and Abilities: Advanced decision-making and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to prioritize and maintain professionalism during high-volume periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Software Knowledge: Working knowledge of body shop software such as Mitchell is an asset, but not mandatory.
