Tile Setter

At Goodwood General Contracting, we are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tile. You will also mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel. Additionally, you will prepare rough plans and sketches, set tiles in place, and apply pressure to affix them to the base. Your tasks will also include aligning and straightening tiles, cutting and fitting tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, packing grout into joints between tiles and removing excess grout, removing and replacing cracked or damaged tiles, laying and setting mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs, building underbeds and installing anchor bolts, wires, and brackets, cutting, surfacing, polishing, and installing marble and granite, and estimating costs and materials. If you have 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in this field and are physically demanding, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and have a large workload, we encourage you to apply for this position. The work environment is on the road, and the job is permanent with 30 to 40 hours of work per week. The language of work is English.
