Kitchen Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Salando Enterprises Inc. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared and served to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain a well-stocked inventory
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and other support personnel
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure that food meets quality control standards
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef and maintain accurate records of kitchen operations
Requirements:
  • 3 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role, preferably in a food service establishment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, as well as WHMIS and Smart Serve certifications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and supervise staff
