Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team at Northland School Division No. 61. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our desktops, laptops, and Chromebooks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provision, install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and Chromebooks.
- Troubleshoot network cabling and all computer hardware issues.
- Troubleshoot interactive displays and other classroom technologies.
- Install and support operating systems and application software.
- Provide technical support via remote desktop and on-site visits to schools and remote offices.
Requirements:
- Prior IT experience in an educational environment.
- A diploma or degree from a computer (or related) technology program.
- Certification in Microsoft and/or CompTIA training.
- Experience with TCP/IP Local Area Networks.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, Google for Education, and Active Directory.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
- Dedication to quality service and a desire to learn new technologies.
