Senior Estimator Job Description

KAPP Infrastructure Inc. is a leading Canadian General Heavy Civil Contractor with 40 years of experience in delivering complex infrastructure construction projects.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our construction team. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for calculating accurate cost estimates, planning, developing, negotiating, and executing contracts for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cost analysis and determine project duration
  • Procure vendors and subcontractors
  • Manage resources and ensure deadlines are met
  • Deliver organized estimates, budgets, and schedules for various projects
  • Work collaboratively with KAPP personnel to prepare estimates and track project progress

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering
  • Over 8 years of experience as a Senior Estimator, Chief Estimator, or Estimating Manager in the construction field
  • Experience in heavy civil work, particularly in earthwork, roadwork, bridges, and underground construction
  • Experience pursuing infrastructure projects from $10-400M
  • Proficiency in HCSS computer programs such as Heavybid or Paydirt
  • Excellent research, proposal writing, and oral presentation skills
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Ability to travel and perform site visits
