Lifemark Health Group is a leading provider of community-focused occupational therapy services, catering to individuals across Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. Since its inception in 1998, Lifemark has expanded its team to over 35 skilled occupational therapists, enhancing its offerings to include virtual and group therapy sessions, as well as establishing dedicated clinics in various locations. The partnership with Modern OT has further enriched the range of services available to clients, particularly veterans, First Responders, and others facing physical and mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement OTA treatment plans in clients' homes and community settings as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario Standards of Practice, as delegated by the supervising OT.
- Prepare session documentation following company guidelines.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to clinical file management to support occupational therapists.
- Procure necessary equipment and conduct research related to clients' occupational therapy needs as instructed by the supervising OT.
- Support group therapy initiatives, including programs focused on Chronic Pain Management and Mindfulness.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physical Therapy Assistant (OTA/PTA) from an accredited institution.
- Experience in a healthcare environment with a focus on OTA program delivery.
- Background in private practice and motor vehicle accident rehabilitation is advantageous.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
- Strong team player with a proactive and resourceful attitude.
- Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- High attention to detail and adaptability to changing circumstances.
- Proficient in technology and software applications, including Microsoft Office and Adobe; experience handling secure documents.
- Professional demeanor to foster a positive work environment.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to adhering to established procedures and protocols consistently.
- Strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Availability for work during standard business hours, Monday to Friday.
- Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle with appropriate insurance for community-based interventions.
