Position Overview

As a Culinary Service Associate at Blends & Bites Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within our food service establishment. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks that contribute to a pleasant dining experience for our customers.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Work Environment

You will be working in a dynamic food service setting that demands attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver clean dishes, utensils, and other items to serving areas and arrange tables.
  • Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
  • Clear and tidy tables, trays, and chairs to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment to ensure all dishes, glassware, and utensils are thoroughly cleaned.
  • Organize and store dishes in designated areas.
  • Restock condiments and supplies at tables and serving stations.
  • Hand wash and sanitize dishes and other kitchen items as needed.
  • Prepare take-out food orders and ensure proper packaging.
  • Portion and wrap food items for service.
  • Assist in the preparation, heating, and finishing of simple food items.
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet setups with a friendly demeanor.
  • Manage inventory by stocking refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Take and process customer orders efficiently.
  • Utilize manual and electrical appliances for food preparation tasks.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitized, including work surfaces, cupboards, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely.
  • Receive, unpack, and organize supplies in appropriate storage areas.
  • Dispose of kitchen waste and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
  • Perform floor maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and polishing.
  • Prepare vegetables and fruits by washing, peeling, and cutting as required.
