Position Overview

Gould Quality Construction Ltd is seeking a skilled Framing Specialist to join our dedicated team. This role involves a variety of tasks related to the construction and renovation of residential and commercial structures.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in carpentry or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in the carpentry field is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in accordance with building regulations, utilizing precise measuring instruments.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect wall and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
  • Oversee and guide other construction workers.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial wooden structures.
  • Assist in the framing of houses, erecting walls, and constructing roofs.
Certifications
  • Carpenter Trade Certification
  • Carpenter Red Seal Certificate
Transportation Requirements
  • Must have personal transportation.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
Work Environment
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Capable of a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Must be able to handle heavy loads and manage a large workload.
  • Work is physically demanding and requires minimal supervision.
Tools and Equipment
