About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Specialist to join our team at Workstar Framing Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of framing projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Layout and Measurement: Prepare accurate layouts in conformance to building codes, utilizing measuring tools to ensure precise measurements.
  • Material Preparation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to meet project requirements.
  • Structural Assembly: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to meet building codes and project specifications.
  • Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Project Coordination: Schedule and coordinate work on sites to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Site Surveying: Conduct site surveys to ensure accurate building locations and levels.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with a physically demanding workload.
  • Work Term: Permanent position with a standard 40-hour workweek.
  • Work Language: English language proficiency required.
