About the Role

Tania Negrete Solares is seeking a skilled and compassionate Child Care Specialist to join our team. As a Child Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to infants and children in a home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathing, Dressing, and Feeding: Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of infants and children by bathing, dressing, and feeding them in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Personal Hygiene and Social Development: Teach children the importance of personal hygiene and social development, promoting healthy habits and emotional intelligence.
  • Organizing Activities: Plan and execute engaging activities, such as games and outings, to stimulate cognitive and motor skills development.
  • Nutritious Meals: Prepare and serve healthy meals that cater to the dietary needs of infants and children.
  • Rest Periods: Help infants and children prepare for rest periods, ensuring a smooth transition to sleep.
  • Supervision and Care: Provide constant supervision and care to infants and children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Transportation: Safely transport children to and from school and appointments, promoting a sense of security and routine.
  • Emotional Well-being: Foster a nurturing environment that promotes the emotional well-being of infants and children, addressing their needs and concerns with empathy and understanding.
Work Environment

The Child Care Specialist will work in a home-based setting, providing care and education to a multi-aged group of children. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to the needs of each child and family.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • Work Setting: Employer's home
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 32 hours per week
