About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Apples and Angels Montessori School and Day Care. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Collaborate with our educational team to design and implement child-care programs that promote the overall well-being of our children.
  • Assistance and Support: Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that support the development of our children, including planning and implementing activities that cater to their individual needs.
  • Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of our children's progress and development.
  • Child Guidance: Guide and assist children in developing essential life skills, such as proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Team Collaboration: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Environment Maintenance: Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment that protects the well-being of our children.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Qualifications: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking; bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, judgement, reliability, team player, values and ethics, ability to multitask
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year; permanent position; 35 to 40 hours per week; English language
