About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at LES ATELIERS B.G. INC. as a key member of our production team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dimensional Control: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts to ensure precision and accuracy.
  • Workpiece Preparation: Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly, ensuring efficient production workflows.
  • Engineering Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand production requirements.
  • Machinery Setup: Set up and adjust production machineries/tools to optimize production efficiency.
  • Component Assembly: Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, ensuring high-quality products.
  • Instrument Maintenance: Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Documentation: Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, ensuring quality control.
  • Product Verification: Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, ensuring accuracy and conformance to specifications.
  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality products.
Requirements
  • Certification: Machinist Trade Certification is required.
  • Measuring Tools: Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, calibre, gauges, and verniers is essential.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, team player, and quick learner are essential qualities for this role.
