About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at LES ATELIERS B.G. INC. as a key member of our manufacturing department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts with precision and accuracy.
  • Measure and lay out work pieces for assembly, ensuring precise fit and finish.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to inform production decisions.
  • Set up and adjust production machinery and tools to optimize performance.
  • Fabricate and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Document and report any deviations from specifications and tolerances, providing solutions to improve processes.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality parts.
Requirements
  • Machinist Trade Certification.
  • Proficiency in the use of measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
