Material Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Material Estimator to join our team at Budget Insulation & Drywall Ltd. as a permanent employee.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the movement of supplies and materials between departments, performing routine clerical duties, and reading blueprints and specifications to estimate the type and quantity of materials required for production and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and coordinate the flow of supplies and materials between departments
- Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry and record-keeping
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and production drawings to estimate material requirements
- Compile worksheets and specifications for orders
- Estimate the type and quantity of materials and labor required for projects
- Prepare and maintain progress reports
- Provide excellent customer service
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
The successful candidate will work in a construction company environment, with a focus on estimating and coordinating materials and supplies.
LanguageThe primary language of work is English.
Hours of WorkThe successful candidate will work 35 to 45 hours per week.
