Material Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Estimator to join our team at Budget Insulation & Drywall Ltd. As a Material Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor the movement of supplies and materials between departments to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
- Perform routine clerical duties, including data entry and record-keeping.
- Read and interpret blueprints, written specifications, and production drawings to estimate material requirements.
- Coordinate the flow of supplies and materials to ensure timely delivery and minimize delays.
- Compile worksheets and specifications of orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Estimate the type and quantity of materials and labor required for production, construction, and other projects.
- Prepare and maintain progress reports to track project milestones and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
