Bakery Supervisor Job Description

At Simply Biscotti, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring the highest quality products are produced, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies to maintain a well-stocked bakery.
  • Train and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to produce high-quality products.
  • Draw up production schedules to meet customer demand and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Hire and dismiss staff as needed, ensuring that all employees meet the necessary qualifications and standards.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that all products are available and of high quality.
  • Oversee the sales and merchandising of baked goods to ensure maximum visibility and appeal.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a fast-paced bakery environment with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and physical activity.
  • Work a 40-hour week with occasional overtime.
  • Be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.
