About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist to join our team at Green Infrastructure Partners. As a key member of our HSE team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Statistics and Trending Analysis: Develop and maintain accurate health and safety statistics and trending analysis for local and regional sites.
  • Safety Metrics and Incident Tracking: Update safety metrics and administer the Safety Incident Tracking database on a weekly basis.
  • Data Entry and Quality Assurance: Perform data entry to ensure quality on incident tracking systems, monitor and set for approval, and create reports.
  • Presentations and Reporting: Standardize and develop PowerPoint presentations, and prepare detailed statistical trend analysis and develop reports and presentations, including the preparation of graphs and charts.
  • Communication and Training: Communicate information to employees regarding health and safety policies and procedures, and provide support and administrative assistance to the health and safety team.
  • Audits and Compliance: Attend, facilitate, and participate in weekly safety talks, monthly meetings, and audits, and assist in safety audits and COR compliance.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary education (degree or diploma) in health and safety, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in safety/environmental-related experience, with construction experience being an asset.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Comprehensive/working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and industry safety standards, and strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Personal Qualities: Results-driven with a focus to deliver success in a fast-paced environment, outcome-focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
