CG Senior Modeling Artist

Atomic Cartoons is seeking a highly skilled CG Senior Modeling Artist to join our team for a short-term contract. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D models from scratch, meeting technical and aesthetic standards for our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create show-style models from scratch, adhering to project requirements and deadlines.
  • Work independently, with minimal supervision, to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Look Development team to ensure models integrate seamlessly into the Look Development pipeline.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and directors to address feedback and implement changes.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of modeling techniques, software, and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of industry experience in Animation and/or Visual Effects.
  • Proficiency in Maya, Zbrush, and/or Mudbox.
  • Ability to create complex models from 2D reference or scan data.
  • Strong understanding of clean line-flow, organix, and hard surface modeling.
  • Background in visual arts/design with a focus on form, geometry, and movement.
  • Excellent visual skills and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high-quality work.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of texturing/shading, rendering, or rigging.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems.
  • Python scripting skills.
  • Experience using Shotgun for production tracking.

At Atomic Cartoons, we offer a competitive salary range of $1,400-$1,600 CAD per week, depending on location and experience. This position is eligible for company-sponsored benefits, including medical, GRSP, vacation pay, and paid holiday break. Please note that this expected pay range is for British Columbia and may vary outside of the province.
