Job Summary

Kelson is seeking a skilled HVAC Refrigeration Technician to join our Mechanical/Service Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, ensuring high-quality work and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems, providing technical direction and on-the-job training to junior technicians.
  • Ensure compliance with appliance standards, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and service standards.
  • Assist customers with queries and provide excellent communication skills to translate technical terms into common language.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Valid driver's license and good standing with the Ontario College of Trades.
  • 5+ years of experience as a commercial HVAC Service technician, with a willingness to continue education in the HVAC field.
  • Experience with refrigeration piping/construction and service (maintenance & break-fix troubleshooting) is preferred.
  • Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating, boiler systems.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in reading schematics and work plans.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, with certification in confined space preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and translate technical terms into common language.
