Job Title: HVAC Technician

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Maple Contractors Ltd. as a Mechanical Installation Specialist.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in various locations. This is a temporary position with a 35-40 hour workweek, requiring a college diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain HVAC systems, including machinery and components
  • Repair and maintain equipment, including boilers, refrigeration systems, and process piping
  • Assist in the design and preparation of engineering drawings and specifications
  • Supervise maintenance programs and operation of mechanical plants
  • Test and inspect equipment, and make adjustments and minor repairs as needed
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in HVAC installation and maintenance
  • Eligible for certification by a provincial or territorial association
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with IBM Maximo, Mastercam CAD/CAM, and other related software
  • Knowledge of green economy sector and specialized environmental skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
