Job Summary:
Acadia Broadcasting is a leading media company seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Professional to join our Finance team in Saint John, NB. As a Financial Analyst and CPA Candidate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the company's financial health and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end processes, including accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain the Accounts Payable process and administer the company credit card program.
- Complete and manage daily and monthly accounting and internal audit compliance activities.
- Aid in the preparation of external auditor requirements for the year-end financial statement audits.
- Participate in financial projects as required.
- Perform analysis and ad hoc reporting.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field and working towards, or a desire to, pursue an accounting designation.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail, and strong time management skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with experience in Excel.
- Experience using JD Edwards would be considered an asset but not a requirement.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
