We are seeking a Senior Director of Strategic Procurement to lead our Supply Chain management team at De Havilland Aircraft of Canada. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with formulating strategic procurement initiatives and fostering ongoing enhancements in all procurement operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Establish a comprehensive Enterprise Procurement policy with clear standards and compliance tracking mechanisms.
- Execute a Supplier Relationship Management framework and a robust Contract Management System.
- Oversee high-stakes supplier negotiations and devise effective contracting approaches.
- Consolidate procurement analytics and create category-specific sourcing methodologies.
- Engage collaboratively with New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering teams to ensure supplier quality and manage product lifecycle effectively.
- Forge strong connections with materials management and NPI divisions.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a university degree, advanced degree, or MBA, coupled with over 20 years of experience in supply chain sourcing and management.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a proven history of cultivating high-performing teams.
- Experience within the aerospace sector and expertise in managing international suppliers.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and negotiation abilities.
