Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Power HVAC Mechanic to join our team at United Rentals. As a Power HVAC Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks and minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment and tools
  • Report machine condition to management
  • Responsible for service documentation
  • Occasional travel to customer sites
  • Demonstrate equipment for customers
  • Train lower-level technicians as needed
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment
  • Intermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic, and other systems
  • Strong mechanical background knowledge, particularly with various engines
  • Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
  • Own the tools applicable to the position
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
