Are you a skilled technician looking to take your career to the next level? We have an exciting opportunity for a Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech III) to join our team at United Rentals

As a Power HVAC Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks and minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. You will work with diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and dehumidification/air purification equipment, and will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment and tools
  • Report machine condition to Management
  • Responsible for service documentation
  • Occasional travel to customer sites
  • Demonstrate equipment for customers
  • Train lower level technicians as needed
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
  • Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment
  • Intermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems
  • Strong mechanical background knowledge particularly with various engines
  • Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
  • Own the tools applicable to position
  • Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
