As a Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech III) within our Power/HVAC division, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing our extensive fleet of equipment. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our diesel engines, HVAC systems, and dehumidification/air purification equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools.
  • Report machine condition to management and maintain accurate service documentation.
  • Occasionally travel to customer sites to provide equipment demonstrations and training.
  • Assist with equipment pick-up and delivery, as well as train lower-level technicians as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team's success.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
  • Intermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic, and other systems.
  • Strong mechanical background knowledge, particularly with various engines.
  • Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.
