Position Overview:

Great Canadian Entertainment is on the lookout for a dedicated individual eager to advance their career as a Count Team Member. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with all operational policies and procedures, focusing on cash management and counting duties while fostering a secure and inviting workplace for all staff. As a representative of our Cage operations, our next Count Team Member will have the opportunity to engage with our guests personally, showcasing their outstanding customer service abilities.

Key Responsibilities for the Count Team include:

  • Accurately counting bills, coins, and cash equivalents
  • Organizing and safeguarding the storage of count carts, drop boxes, drop buckets, and bill cartridges for count collections
  • Reporting any suspicious cash and cash equivalents
  • Verifying and reconciling counts before and after processing
  • Bagging, bundling, securing, and transporting cash counts
  • Providing necessary information for reporting purposes
  • Effectively communicating with relevant operational departments
  • Building strong relationships with both internal and external guests
  • Adhering to licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements
  • Performing additional duties as assigned or directed

Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, up to 40 hours per week, based on operational needs.
  • High School Diploma; post-secondary education is an asset
  • At least 1 year of experience in high-volume cash handling and counting
  • Serving It Right Certification or the ability to obtain it
  • Capability to successfully pass a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch
  • Physical ability to consistently push and pull carts
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Capacity to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items regularly
  • Proficiency in differentiating between chip denominations and verifying currency authenticity
  • Competence in operating a computer, ten-key adding machine, and money counter

Candidates should be prepared to work a flexible schedule, with hours determined by business requirements.
