Senior Living Housekeeping Supervisor

Position Overview
Aramark is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Manager to oversee the cleaning operations for a Senior Living facility. This role involves managing a team of approximately 20 unionized staff members, ensuring that all cleaning services meet the company's high standards while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Key Responsibilities- Facility Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the facility in compliance with Aramark's standards, PIDAC guidelines, and OHS regulations.
- Quality Control: Supervise the cleaning of communal areas, staircases, restrooms, living spaces, and offices to guarantee adherence to daily operational standards.
- Operational Improvement: Develop and implement cleaning routines and enhancements aligned with operational goals.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement of cleaning supplies and chemicals, maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Equipment Oversight: Maintain and troubleshoot cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
- Team Development: Foster team building and manage the performance of staff members.
- Communication: Establish and nurture positive communication and problem-solving strategies within the team.
- Relationship Management: Build and sustain positive working relationships with staff, management, residents, and client representatives.
- Financial Oversight: Provide budget forecasts, monitor expenditures, and ensure departmental budget compliance.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as required.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity within a healthcare or senior living environment.
- Proven knowledge of cleaning protocols and equipment operation.
- Comprehensive understanding of cleaning chemical usage, WHMIS, and OHS regulations.
- Familiarity with PIDAC best practices for infection control.
- Experience managing a unionized workforce is advantageous; strong management skills are essential.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and provide innovative solutions to challenges.
- Strong implementation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
- Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Demonstrated integrity, patience, responsibility, work ethic, enthusiasm, and professional commitment.
- Willingness to obtain an annual flu vaccination.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening is required.
