Are you passionate about building the roads that connect communities? Lafarge Construction is seeking skilled and dedicated individuals to join our Road Construction Team in the Greater Vancouver Area. As a Road Construction Team Member, you'll be at the forefront of constructing vital transportation arteries, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and equipment safety
• Perform minor truck and equipment maintenance to prevent breakdowns
• Check grades to ensure accurate construction
• Clean up sites to maintain a safe working environment
• Assist with shoveling, raking, sweeping, and other labor duties as required

Requirements:

The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications:
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
• Experience in checking grades is an asset
• Experience hauling trailers is an asset
• Knowledge of construction is an asset

In addition to the above, the successful candidate will be expected to exercise sound judgment, work safely, and communicate effectively in a team. This position is physically demanding and requires crouching, bending, lifting, and kneeling. As such, clearance on a pre-employment medical is required. The successful candidate will have a proven record of following safe work procedures and be able to complete field risk assessments.
