About the Role

Vlad Construction Corp is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Planning: Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for construction projects.
  • Site Preparation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure accurate site preparation.
  • Construction and Installation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Project Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site surveys to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor other workers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Cost Management: Estimate costs and materials for projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and minimizing waste.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments, including industrial plants and hospitals.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
